Computational Study of Gas‐Flow and Temperature Dynamics at Blast Furnace Charging

چکیده

The burden in the blast furnace is charged to form separate layers of ore and coke, which makes it possible control conditions shaft because materials have different gas permeabilities therefore affect distribution shaft. Since coke are fundamentally densities, mass flux at radial locations will vary, influences heating upon its descent. To gain an understanding effect charging on thermal flow upper shaft, system analyzed by computational fluid dynamics combined with discrete element method. A model counter‐current solids temperature two phases a simplified setup developed. It simulates intermittent continuous descent simultaneous ascent through particle bed. captures complex interaction between solid flows, affects due heat transfer redistribution. illustrated using simple cycle, some implications findings discussed.
